Deputy Minister Andries Nel to lead Career Expo for Law Students at NWU Mahikeng Campus, North West

The Department Justice and Constitutional Development in partnership with North-West University (NWU) will host a Career Day for Law Students on Friday, 17 July 2026.

Led by Deputy Minister Andries Nel, the event is part of the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development's Nelson Mandela Month Commemoration activities. It is also part of ongoing engagements with law students at universities. These engagements are aimed at providing guidance and opportunities for students pursuing careers in law and to align with the late President Mandela's vision of education as a path to success.

Students will get an opportunity to participate in robust discussions with representatives from several key entities in the justice system and in the legal profession such as the Legal Practice Council, the State Attorney, the National Prosecuting Authority, the South African Women Lawyers Association, representatives from private law firms and other entities present on the day.
