The Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mmamoloko Kubayi, together with the Deputy Minister, Andries Nel, invite members of the media to a briefing on the implementation of the Rationalisation Reports. The briefing follows the finalisation and tabling of the reports by the Committee led by Former Chief Justice Dikgang Moseneke and will outline developments relating to the Divisions of the High Court of South Africa and Judicial Establishments.
The Constitution of the Republic of South Africa envisages a unified and transformed court system. To give effect to this vision, item 16(6)(a) of Schedule 6 requires the rationalisation of all courts, including their structure and jurisdiction. This will contribute to a more accessible and responsive justice system and improve the administration of court services.
Members of the media are invited as follows:
Date : 09 June 2026 (Tuesday)
Time : 14:00 – 15:00
Venue: Ronnie Mamoepa Press Room, Tshedimosetso House (GCIS), Corner Francis Baard and Festival Streets, Hatfield, Pretoria
