Minister Kubayi attends the St Johns Apostolic Church Annual uMgidi

The Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Ms. Mmamoloko Kubayi, will attend the St John Apostolic Faith Mission Church uMgidi on Sunday, 10 May 2026 in Clermont, Pinetown, KwaZulu- Natal at 11:00am.

This annual religious festival brings together thousands of congregants from across the country, government representatives, members from other religious denominations and dignitaries from the Southern African Development Community (SADC). The Minister’s attendance reflects governments commitment to engaging faith-based organisations and strengthening partnerships that drive social cohesion.

This year’s celebrations coincide with the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa and serves as an opportunity to reaffirm our undertaking towards the advancement of our democracy through shared responsibility and upholding the rule of law.

Speaking ahead of the event, Minister Kubayi explained that “this is not only a celebration of our faith, but a time for us to work together, to confront the legacy of past injustices and recommit to justice”.
