The Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mmamoloko Kubayi, together with Deputy Minister Andries Nel, will on Monday, 20 April 2026, host an engagement with legal practitioners as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration and advance transformation within the legal sector.
This engagement provides a platform for constructive dialogue with legal practitioners on matters relating to transformation and the empowerment of previously disadvantaged professionals within the legal sector.
As the primary guardian of the Constitution, the Department plays a central role in promoting constitutional values, the rule of law, and human rights.
In advancing this mandate, the Department remains committed to fostering a legal profession that reflects the principles of fairness, inclusivity, and transformation.
Since the establishment of the Office of the Solicitor-General, a structured and policy-driven approach has been implemented to promote fairness, transparency, and inclusivity in the allocation of state legal work.
