The Chairperson of the Advisory Panel for the selection of the National Director of Public Prosecutions (NDPP), Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mmamoloko Kubayi, convened a meeting of the Panel today, Monday, 17 November 2025, to consider the screening of applicants and nominated candidates for the position of National Director of Public Prosecutions.
During today’s sitting, the Panel considered 27 applications and nominations received, of which only six met the minimum requirements.

The Panel further resolved that all nominated individuals must formally accept their nomination in writing, and that all nominations with supporting documents must be submitted to NDPPpanel@justice.gov.za
