Department of Justice clarifies issues of photocopy machines emerging from Whatsapp Messages sent to Stakeholders

On 12 December 2023, various stakeholders of the Gauteng North Masters Office received a WhatsApp message alleging that the Masters Office in Pretoria will not be able to make copies due to the unavailability of photocopy machines.  It was also alleged that the photocopy machines were collected from the Masters Pretoria due to non-payment of the service provider.

It is true that they were collected due to an expired contract and not because of non-payment. To mitigate disruption in the delivery of service, the Office of the Chief Master has given the Pretoria Master office access to other photocopy machines in the building. 

The Department of Justice would like to assure stakeholders and members of the public that there will be no disruption of service as the current arrangement will remain in place until the procurement of photocopy machines is finalised.
