The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development, will on Friday 21 July 2023, host a dialogue on Youth and the Constitution at Menlyn (Pretoria). The dialogue is organised as part of Nelson Mandela month commemoration activities under the theme “Voting is a Constitutional Right – enjoining Youth as agents of change”.
It is intended for bringing the youth of 1976 and the youth born after 1994 under one roof to confabulate on an inter-generational discussion on the successes and challenges of the Constitution.
The dialogue also seeks to encourage young people to take interest in public affairs and to exercise their democratic right and vote in the upcoming national government elections in 2024.
The event will be graced by the attendance of the representatives from the June 16 Foundation, Nelson Mandela Foundation, Vaal Heritage Trust, the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC), and other youth organisations around Gauteng.
