Delays in processing of services at North West Provincial Office and Mahikeng Masters Office due to explosion of electricity transformer

02 May 2023

Members of the media and the public are regrettably informed about the delays in processing of services at the North West Provincial Department of Justice and Mahikeng Masters Office, this comes in the wake of the explosion of the electricity transformer which supplies power to the buildings that house our provincial office and the Masters Office in Mahikeng.

The delays are owed to inquiries and capturing work which require a computer with power supply. The Department has as part of contingency measures, made arrangements that all work which requires electricity connection be undertaken at Molopo Magistrates’ Court henceforth the delays. Members of the public will still access services at the Provincial Office and Mahikeng Masters Office but will encounter delays in terms of turnaround times.

The ESKOM and the relevant stakeholders are working around the clock to ensure restoration of power supply to the buildings as soon as possible.

The Department apologises for the inconvenience caused. Members of the public will be updated as soon as the problem is resolved.
