Deputy Minister John Jeffery to preside over Small Claims Court Commissioners’ Long Service Awards Ceremony in Durban

The Deputy Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mr John Jeffery, will preside over Long Service Awards of Small Claims Courts Commissioners in Durban on Saturday 15 April 2023.

The awards aim to celebrate the continuous commitment, dedication and contributions of Commissioners of the Small Claims Court to the work of the Department, to our courts and in making access to justice a reality for all in South Africa.

The Small Claims Courts continue to provide an easy and user-friendly platform to access justice without encountering the high cost of litigation. The Commissioners act as presiding officers in these courts and render the time and expertise free of charge.
