Minister Lamola to participate at the International Bar Association’s Anti-Corruption Committee Debate on OECD Recommendations, 21 March 2022

The Minister of Justice and Correctional Services, Ronald Lamola, will tomorrow, Tuesday, 22 March 2022, participate at the International Bar Association’s Anti-Corruption Committee webinar hosted in conjunction with Primerio International in South Africa.

Guest speakers in the event will unpack and debate the recently published Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development’s (OECD) 2021 “Combating of Foreign Bribery Recommendations”.

Key topics to be covered include incentivising the importance of deterring and detecting corrupt conduct within enterprises; developing an effecting whistle-blower regime; considering the appropriateness of non-trial resolutions to combat foreign bribery as well as addressing the demand-side of corruption.
