Minister Lamola to deliver a keynote address at the Mpumalanga Provincial Constitutional Rights Conference

As part of the programme to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Constitution coming into effect, the Minister of Justice and Correctional Services, Mr Ronald Lamola, will on Thursday 17 March 2022, deliver a keynote address at the Mpumalanga Provincial Constitutional Rights Conference at the University of Mpumalanga, City of Mbombela.

The conference is organised by the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development under the theme, “The supremacy of the Constitution: reflecting on the role of the Judiciary after 25 years of Constitutionalism”. It seeks to provide a platform to reflect and engage on the role of the Judiciary in protecting and upholding the Rule of Law, the Constitution as a tool in addressing socio-economic challenges and building Social Cohesion as well as national unity.

Minister Lamola will be joined by Mpumalanga Premier, Ms Refilwe Mtsweni-Tsipane, City of Mbombela Executive Mayor, Ms Sibongile Makushe and Mpumalanga Judge President, Francis Legodi among other dignitaries.
