The Deputy Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, John Jeffery will deliver a keynote address at an intersectoral dialogue on the Domestic Violence Act (Act 116 of 1998) in Cape Town on Tuesday, 20th August 2019.
The dialogue is being hosted by Gender, Health and Justice Research Unit (UCT), the Heinrich Böll Foundation, Wits City Institute and the Department of Community Safety in the Western Cape. The purpose of the dialogue is to reflect on the implementation of the Act over the past 20 years.
