Deputy Minister John Jeffery to deliver a Keynote Address at Human Rights Month Provincial LGBTI Dialogue

The Deputy Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mr John Jeffery, will address a lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex (LGBTI) dialogue as part of the Department’s commemoration of Human Rights Month.

The dialogue aims to obtain feedback from the LGBTI community on the resolutions of the Presidential Summit on Gender-Based Violence and Femicide which was held last year, with relevance to the LGBTI National Implementation Strategy (NIS). It also seeks to align different initiatives to create mechanisms for effective coordination and planning beyond the dialogue and to empower civil society with training and knowledge to deal with LGBTI issues.
