Minister Masutha to officially hand over exhumed human remains of Messrs Gqibile Nicholas Hans and Jonas Mzondi Jabavu

The Minister of Justice and Correctional Services, Adv. Michael Masutha will preside over the official handover ceremony of the exhumed human remains of Messrs Ggibile Nicholas Hans and Jonas Mzondi Jabavu. Messrs Gqibile Nicolas Hans and Jonas Mzondi Jabavu, both PAC activists, were hanged at the Pretoria Central Prison gallows for incidents that took place during the period of intense political turmoil between1963 and 1967.

The handover is part of the gallows project which entails the exhumation, handover and reburial of the remains of political prisoners who were hanged at the Pretoria Central Prison gallows and buried in unmarked graves.
