Statement by the Minister of Justice and Correctional Service regarding the Call for Nominations to serve on the South African Law Reform Commission

The Minister of Justice and Correctional Services has, today issued a call for interested parties to nominate candidates to be considered for appointment to serve on the South African Law Reform Commission (SALRC).
The term of office of the current Commission comes to an end on 11 August 2018, and therefore, new Commission members must be appointed in accordance with the South African Law Reform Commission Act, 1973 (Act No. 19 of 1973).
The Call for nominations to serve on the SALRC is posted on the SALRC website at http://www.justice.gov.za/salrc/index.htm. Closing date for nominations is 25 July 2018 and all nominations may be sent to the Secretary of the SALRC in one of the following ways:
- By email to Reform@justice.gov.za
- By post to the Secretary of South African Law Reform Commission, Private Bag X668, Pretoria, 0001.
- By hand to the Secretary of SALRC, 2007 Lenchen Avenue(South), Spooral Park Building, Centurion, Pretoria
