Launch and walkabout of various Justice Service Points to be taken by Deputy Minister John Jeffery

Ahead of the tabling of the Budget Vote of the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development, the Deputy Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mr John Jeffery will undertake the launch and walkabout of justice service points in the Western Cape on 4 May 2018 as follows:

It is envisaged that the court will provide relief to the court roll of Mitchells Plain Magistrate’s Court as all the municipal and traffic bylaws infringements will now be dealt with by the Municipal Court. Deputy Minister Jeffery will be joined by the Mayor of the City of Cape Town, Ms Patricia De Lille during the launch.

The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development invested R120 500 000 on  refurbishing Uistitia building, the building  accommodates the Cape Town Family Court, Sexual Offences Court and provides other justice related services to the community members.

Members of the media will be afforded an opportunity to engage with the Minister and the Mayor during these visits. Transport will be provided for journalists who will be covering all these events.
