Former squatter leader Johnson Nxobongwana, now a Western Cape MPL, is to be questioned at a TRC in camera hearing on May 29, commission officials told Sapa.
The others are:
- Prince Gobingca, who stood as an election candidate in 1994 as a member of former Ciskei military ruler Brig Oupa Gqozo's African Democratic Movement.
- Supt Rudolph Liebenberg, who was subpoenaed earlier this year in connection with the 1986 shootings of seven Guguletu men. He is due to appear at an in camera hearing on May 28.
Liebenberg headed the SA Police's terrorist tracking unit in the Western Cape in the mid-1980s.
- Former SAP colonel Trevor Vermeulen who is due to be questioned on June 4.
The four have allegedly been identified as key players in the 1980s squatter violence, according to documentation the TRC investigative unit has.
