Deputy Minister Jeffery to preside over the 5th National Moot Court Competition

The Deputy Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mr John Jeffery, MP will preside over the awards ceremony for the 5th National Moot Court Competition on Sunday, 11 October 2015 at the Constitutional Court in Braamfontein, Johannesburg.

The Moot Court Competition was created, amongst other things to empower and encourage young South Africans, especially those in grade 10 and 11 from all the provinces including private and public schools to understand and relate to human rights concepts, values and principles to daily life activities at the interpersonal and intrapersonal level.

Judges for this year’s competition include some of the best minds in the legal fraternity including Justice Johann van der Westhuizen, Justice Keoagile Elias Matojane, as well as South African Human Rights Commissioner, Advocate Mohamed Shafie Ameermia.
